Hope Everyone had a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

I am finally back online in my own home-Yippee! So onto business of shopping frugally!

First off I want comments...Anyone go out black Friday shopping? If so i would love to hear your deals!
I did. Unfortunately I didn't find that great of deals that were worth fighting through swarms of people for. Yet at Riteaid there were n crowds and BOY DID SAVE! The picture shows $100 worth of stuff I got there.

I used some coupons that I have received from these main sources:

a) the paper-a must!!! (the San Bernardino Sun is having a great special right now!!! If you don't get a paper, check them out!)

b) go to online sources such as coupons.com, redplum.com and smartsource.com (there are more listed on my blog) And please check the blog out at least once a week instead of just looking at your email, as I submit things all the time there that you can only see by going there!!!

c) Store coupons from two places-their website ie: riteaid.com (great source for coupons). They have a system called ad perks where you watch a very short video on a product you want a coupon for and then you get that coupon! After you watch a few they will also give you a $5 off coupon!!! Then once you get to the store, pick up a coupon flyer near the door with added coupons in it.

So yesterday when I went I had my coupon booklet and a few coupons from the website and then I picked up the coupon flyer at the door and I went crazy!!! There were so many good deals! I got most of my stuff for free after rebate (if you want to know more about this check out he top of my blog) and I used my coupons on all the other stuff. So I left the store paying $30 for $100 worth of stuff and I have rebates coming for $26 of that $30 I spent. And another program Riteaid is the gift of savings. So for instance I spent $100 so they will mail me a check for $20 this month!!! So really I walked away without spending money. They actually paid me to take it off their hands!!!

Another thing I wanted to share with you is a strategy for keeping your soap lasting longer! With the flu here and having our kids wash their hands often we can go through soap quickly and here is a way to make it last you. If you shop at bath and body works ever you have probably seen there foaming hand soap pumps. So what I do is when I am done with it, I buy a generic liquid soap from riteaid for $2 (and there is usually a $2 coupon on their website for any beauty or health product) so this is free! and I add it to the soap dispenser 1/4 way and then add water. Don't shake it up, just gently rock it back and forth to make sure it is all combined and that will last you at least a year!!!! Pretty frugal huh!
